The following list of Shiloh Sharps includes only rifles that are in stock for immediate delivery or have actually gone “active.”  This means they are either in production or are scheduled to be in production in the immediate future. The due dates are based on a production time of approximately 3-5 months from the time the paid orders go “active” (activation means the rifles are on the floor being built at the Shiloh factory).  This is approximate, but usually is within a few weeks (before or after) the estimated due date.  With the exception of additional sights, specs on these rifles cannot be changed.  The prices shown are DELIVERED PRICES. They are based on the current 2024 catalogue price plus Federal Excise Tax (charged by Shiloh on all orders),  shipping crates/packing ($90 charged by Shiloh) and $95-$160 for Oversize UPS (standard ground, fully insured and signature required delivery).  Note: If Shiloh raises prices, my price has to go up the same amount. There are NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES.  Remember, Shiloh is currently in a long backorder situation on  orders.  I can also place a custom order for you– any model, caliber, options, etc., and have it in usually about SIX TO TEN months or so.   Generally, a $1,000 deposit is required on all custom orders or to reserve one of my rifles already on order.  If you want Montana Vintage Arms sights on your order, they need to be paid out at the time of ordering as I buy them from MVA and personally take them to Shiloh for mounting. The balance is due when the rifle is completed and ready for shipment.

NOTE:  MOST  RIFLES  CAN BE ORDERED  AND CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR EXACT SPECIFICATIONS WITH AN APPROX. DELIVERY DATE OF SUMMER 2025

A NOTE OF EXPLANATION CONCERNING MY $200 FEE:

I am often asked how I set my fees.  Basically, here is the answer.  If you were to place your own order with Shiloh, you’d put down a $250 deposit on each rifle.  About 20 or more months later you would be notified that full payment is required to begin making your rifle (there would also be an excellent possibility of price increases during this time which you would pay).  From there you’d wait another 6 months or more for your rifle to be completed.  This is where I come to the rescue! I’ve already put down tens of thousands of dollars in deposits at Shiloh for a multitude of future rifles.  I am constantly paying for rifles to be built- nicely appointed custom rifles of which most shooters would be delighted to take delivery.  I have fronted this time and money for the customer. So, for my $200 fee,  you’ll save nearly 2+ years of back order, not encounter any future price increases, not pay the full amount of your rifle until it is completed, and be shooting your rifle while other Shiloh customers are playing the waiting game!

THE FOLLOWING NEW, IN THE BOX, SHILOH RIFLES ARE IN STOCK NOW:  FOR PHOTOS YOU CAN GO TO THE GUNS INTERNATIONAL WEBSITE AND VIEW THESE RIFLES IN THE “SHARPS RIFLES-REPLICA” CATEGORY.

IN STOCK NOW! BRASS AVAILABLE ONLY WITH PURCHASE OF THE FEW REMAINING!!

Once again, I have contracted with Shiloh to make a very limited run of only TWELVE (12)  non-catalogued special “DELUXE LIGHT HUNTING RIFLES.” These rifles will all be in .50-70 (1 3/4″ case) caliber with non-catalogued 24″ standard half-octagon barrels and double set triggers. They will have straight stocks of semi-fancy walnut, steel shotgun butt plates, cheek pieces with accent lines, pewter tips, brass escutcheons and full buckhorn rear sights (tangs are drilled and tapped for any sights you might want to add). These unique Shilohs are a little longer than carbines, but shorter than typical sporters and should make for ideal hunting rifles that you can carry in the field without lugging around a lot of unnecessary weight. Weight is approx. 8 3/4 lbs. These rifles are arriving now and I have a few in stock that are not spoken for and ready to ship! Note: the .50-70 case is now a legal hunting cartridge in many Mid-Western states- check your regulations. Total delivered price including Federal Excise tax, the shipping case/box Shiloh provides, oversize fully insured and signature required UPS shipping, my fee etc. $4195. (ONLY A FEW LEFT)

2) UNUSUAL SHILOH SHARPS OFFERING: BRAND NEW IN THE BOX 1874 QUIGLEY MODEL. This rifle was custom ordered by me for a customer who put a deposit down at the time of ordering. The rifle just came in with several others a couple of months ago. For personal reasons, this individual was not able to pay for his rifle and forfeited his original deposit. Now I’ve got it for sale. Therefore, I’ve discounted the final price by $800. Here’s what it is: 1874 Quigley Model ordered to be exactly like the movie rifle- standard features include .45-110 caliber, 34″ heavy octagon barrel, semi-buckhorn rear barrel sight, #108 midrange vernier tang sight with #111 globe front sight that will accept inserts, pewter forend tip, Hartford collar on the barrel, patchbox and antique finish on entire gun (again, like the movie gun), Initials “J R D” in gold with gold oval on the receiver. Interestingly, The movie Quigley Down Under came out in 1990. That’s when a load of people ordered Shiloh rifles to be like the movie gun. So, if one were 45 years old in 1990 and ordered a rifle, he’d receive it after 4 years backorder in 1994 when he was 49. That was almost 31 years ago which would put him now at about 80 years old. What I’m getting at is that there are now and will me more Quigley (and other models with initials) rifles finding their way to the used market/auction houses. The initials will be viewed as simply part of the history of the rifle and in time will not detract from the value- in fact, it may eventually add to the value- sort of like an antique Winchester or Colt with an inscription or monogram. Originally, the total delivered price from me including all Federal Excise Tax, shipping etc. was $5039.95.  So, after deducting $800 the sale price is now $4239.95. Comes with all paperwork and warranty card etc. Brand new in the Shiloh provided case/box. Serial number 99xxB. For an extra $60 I’ll throw in a new box of 20 RCBS .45 cal. basic brass (3 1/4″). This is the first time after selling over 2,000 Shilohs  since the 1990s that I’ve had a customer not be able to pay for his rifle upon completion! His loss can be your gain!

It was custom ordered with the following additional custom options: extra fancy (about presentation grade) walnut, AA finish on the wood, French Grey Finish on the receiver, hammer, lever and checkered steel butt plate (Note: French Grey Finish is now only offered for engraved rifles making those with French Grey scarce), Polished 32″ heavy half octagon barrel with no dovetail cut for rear barrel sight, checkering, accent line on the cheek piece, pewter forend tip, fire blued screws, Long range Soule tang sight with Hadley eye disc and windage adjustable spirit level globe front sight. Not many around this nice! My price $5200. FOR PHOTOS GO TO MY OTHER WEBSITE AT  www.goodmanguns.com

3) HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON .45-70 OFFICERS MODEL TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD. I am always on the lookout for these fine rifles that were made in the U.S.A. in the late 1970s. They are beautifully made faithful replicas of the Springfield Officers Models made in the 1870s as personal hunting rifles for officers stationed in the west. This is a particularly attractive example with rich brown oil finished walnut stock that is checkered at the wrist and forearm. The case colored butt plate, trigger guard, hammer, breech block, lock plate, receiver ring, hammer, and barrel band are nicely engraved, as were the originals. The barrel is richly blued with “U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873″ on one side with the H&R U.S.A. address on the other. Pewter tip is also engraved and the original wiping rod is intact uner the 26” barrel. Sporting tang sight (like the originals) with blade/bead front sight. This one with serial number 5XXX is in about new condition inside and out. As I always say, compmared to other rifles of this type for sale, these are one of the best bargains on the black powder/replica rifle market these days- and made in the U.S.A., not an import. These are getting hard to find, especially in this condition. $1395. FOR PHOTOS GO TO MY OTHER WEBSITE AT  www.goodmanguns.com SOLD

3) C. SHARPS MODEL 1875 “TARGET” .45-70 RIFLE.  Made right here in Big Timber, Montana, these fine rifles come in several configurations. This one is the “Target” model with 30″ heavy tapered round barrel, pistol grip and shotgun butt. All 1875s have light and crisp single triggers making them excellent target or hunting rifles. The 1875 was an experimental action made in the last years of the Sharps Rifle Company in the late 1870s-1881 when they went out of business. It was never put into production, but C. Sharps of Montana resurrected it and offered it beginning in the early 1980s. This one with serial number 75-3XXX is in about new condition and doesn’t  look to have been used. It has the C. Sharps markings along with the iconic OLD RELIABLE marking as found on late 1870s original Sharps. The wood is standard straight grain walnut with “SHARPS OLD RELIABLE” embossed butt plate. It has an empty front sight dovetail (a blade front sight is included loose) and no rear sight dovetail with the upper tang drilled and tapped for a tang sight. Blued barrel with case colored receiver and lever. Weighs approx. 11 1/4 lbs without sights. The 1875 is an extremely strong action great for black powder or smokeless loads. The catalog price on one like this is a little over $1920 with a build/wait time. Here’s a way to enjoy a big U.S. made .45-70 Sharps without spending a fortune. Less expensive than most foreign made replicas! These shoot great. $1595. FOR PHOTOS GO TO MY OTHER WEBSITE AT  www.goodmanguns.com SOLD

4) BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED/CUSTOMIZED BALLARD No. 5 PACIFIC RIFLE IN .40-60 MARLIN CALIBER (SAME AS .40-65 WIN.). This is an original Ballard action with serial number 18XXX probably made in the late 1870s to early 1880s. The work was done by Monarch Tool Co., Stevensville, Montana. It features a 31″ medium weight octagon barrel that measures 7/8″ across the flats at the muzzle. The barrel is marked as above. There is no dovetail for a rear sight and the barrel is fitted with a spirit level globe front sight that will take inserts. The receiver  and lever have been beautifully and authentically bone-charcoal case colored. It is fitted with double set triggers with adjustment screw. The triggers need an adjustment as the rear “set” trigger clicks when the trigger is pulled, but does not hold- should be an easy fix. The front trigger works fine. The lever is of the traditional loop variety correct for this model. The stock has the traditional checkered steel shotgun butt plate with tear drop over the comb and the forend has a beautifully formed schnable tip. The stock is a fine piece of nicely grained fairly fancy walnut wth deep reddish-brown color. The rifle is also fitted with a mid-range Soule tang sight fully adjustabale for windage and elevation. (The sights alone would cost over $650 to duplicate). A wood wiping rod is mounted under the barrel and held by two correct Ballard style thinbles. Action is tight and the bore is bright and excellent. Overall a beautifully  restored/re-barrelled and stocked Ballard Pacific. Weighs approximately 11 1/4 lbs. Would cost a fortune to build one like this from scratch. $3650. FOR PHOTOS GO TO MY OTHER WEBSITE AT  www.goodmanguns.com
